He has gained fame as a best-selling author in Azerbaijan and has released 32 books His works have been translated into English, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, and Uzbek and published in 6 countries. Rovshan Abdullaoglu is a member of the PEN America writers’ association, the founder and head of the scientific staff of the Gadim Gala publishing house, and an active trainer on philosophical and psychological topics.

Rovshan Abdullaoglu’s psychological novel This City is Empty was the best-selling book among local and foreign works in Azerbaijan in 2016-2017 and continues to be popular today. The novel The Man on the Rails, which achieved bestseller status in Azerbaijan in 2020, received a gold medal at the Readers’ Favorite international book competition in the United States. The novel The Pathfinder was a finalist for the Eric Hoffer book award in 2024 and also received the Readers’ Favorite five-star distinction.

People also know Rovshan Abdullaoglu for his social activities. He conducts seminars on psychological topics in schools, universities, and government agencies; teaches philosophy classes; and appears on television and radio programs.

In 2024, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan chose him as one of the honorary authors of the 10th Baku International Book Fair. Rovshan Abdullaoglu is also the organizer and participant in several charity projects.
